Although overhead transmission lines are used to send current to one place to another, but there's another alternative way to send current without occur any damaged to cables and less likely to happen fault. That's underground cable transmission.
Underground cable transmission work similar way like overhead transmission. It receive current from power plant,send to substation, step voltage and step down voltage again send to large cities. The types of cables are used in this underground cable wiring are armoured cable like Steel Wire Armoured (SWA), Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and so on. These wires are made of layers of insulation with PVC, steel,rubber and more and it's hard to bend.
A simply underground wiring that can easily understand is 'Street Light Underground wiring'

Feeder Pillar is a board that contain fuse for connect each wires. This fuse current rate is 100A. So when three phase supply is given to feeder pillar,this current fill flows to the fuse and the wires to light up the street lights.
