Electromagnetism : Fleming's Left Hand Rule

This is Sir John Ambrose Fleming. He is an electrical engineer and physicist. This dude introduced left hand Fleming rule and till now most of electrical engineer used this left hand fleming rule to determined now days electric motors. Left hand fleming rule state that when a current flows through a conductor,an external magnetic field is applied across the flow. The conductor will experience a force perpendicular to the both to that field and to the direction of the current flow.
In your left hand the thumb represent as Force. The fore finger is represent magnetic field. The secondary finger represent current. This left hand fleming rule is only used for electric motors. So let see how this left hand fleming rule works.

If you place a conductor into a magnetic field, it produce a force. this is because, the force is perpendicular to the magnetic field. If the magnetic is reverse the conductor will experience an opposite force or reverse.

Always remember your left hand are the key to determined the direction of force is applied
