Electromagnetism : Law of Faraday's Electromagnetism Induction

Micheal Faraday discovered electromagnetic induction in 1831. It's a major break through in that day because his discovery change the world to this day. Electromagnetic induction is now used in Transformer,Electric motor, generator and so one. This electromagnetic induction make this modern world easier. So lets look out the law of faraday's electromagnetic induction.

Electromagnetic induction is the production of electromotive force (EMF) in a conductor where there's a relative motion of the conductor across the magnetic field.

The picture above shows that a straight conductor is experiencing EMF or electromotive force when the current is induce by the magnetic field and  make the galvanometer deflect.

another example of electromagnetic induction is a moving a magnet towards a solenoid.

When the magnet move towards the solenoid, the coil around the solenoid will induce the current and deflect the galvanometer. When there's no movement of the magnet,no current is induced. When the magnet move faster, the greater the current induce. If move less, the less current induced. each time the magnet move in and out the galvanometer will deflect.
In opposite direction, the galvanometer will negative range. In normal direction the galvanometer will deflect in positive range.

From the example, the conclusion is each time a straight wire or coil cut across the magnetic field or the permanent magnet move towards the solenoid,a current induced in the coil and a delfection is observerd is the sensitive galvanometer.

The current flows in the straight wire or the solenoid and cause the defelction of the galvanometer is called induced e.m.f.

The size of induced e.m.f or induced current can be increased by
  1. Moving the wire or the magnet wire
  2. using strong magnet
  3. increasing the length of wire or coil through the magnetic field
This is what called 'The Law Of Faraday's Electromagnetic Induction' Hope you will understand the law. Don't forget to see every new updates about electricity.
